Entomologist, Ben Fields, has been specializing in the study of bees. His lab contains a system of recorders and computers which allow him to talk to the insects and thereby learn of their society and lives.
Fields has just sent his wife Francesca to place an ad for a new lab assistant when Regina appears as if from nowhere. He doesn't realize that the bees have materialized one of their own kind into human form, and Regina is the Queen who will lead the bees to take over the earth.
